MAKS Sounds 2019

Ka-52 Sound is the sound of the combat helicopter Kamov Ka-52 Alligator from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.

The Ka-52 Alligator is a next-generation reconnaissance and combat helicopter designed to destroy tanks, armoured and non-armoured ground targets, and enemy troops and helicopters both on the front line and in tactical reserves. The helicopter can operate around the clock and in all weathers. The Ka-52 can provide target acquisition and designation for helicopter teams and ground troop command and control centres. It can also provide fire support for troop landings, fly routine patrols and escort military convoys.

The Ka-52 has the side-mounted cannon of the original Ka-50. It features six wing-mounted hardpoints compared to four on the Ka-50. Also some flight parameters deteriorated; rate of climb is 8 m/s (vs. 10 m/s), maximum positive load factor is 3.0 g.

The Ka-52 Alligator’s two VK-2500 turboshaft engines allow the helicopter to operate at altitudes above 5,000m. It has a static ceiling of 4,000m, and is able to take off and land in hot climates and in high mountainous terrain. Also the Alligator can also operate in cold climates and icy conditions.

The Ka-52 Alligator offers a high degree of protection to its crew, advanced automated systems for ease of piloting, and is easy to service and maintain on the ground.

Mi-38 Sound – Real Recordings

Su-35 Sound

MAKS Sounds 2019

Mi-38 Sound is the sound of the transport helicopter Mil Mi-38 from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.

It flew for the first time on 22 December 2003. The manufacturer plans to provide the Mi-38 with a new Tranzas “glass cockpit” avionics system and new composite main rotor blades. The helicopter is offered with a pair of Klimov TV7-117V turboshaft engines. The second prototype with Pratt&Whitney Canada PW127/TS engines, made its first flight in December 2010. In 2013 Kazan Helicopter Plant assembled the third prototype. Russian Armed Forces plans to purchase about 15 Mi-38 helicopters until 2020. Due to sanctions imposed on Russia however, seems like Pratt&Whitney engines will not be offered in the definitive version.

The tail rotor design is similar to the one tried-and-true of Mi-28 helicopter. The designers paid special attention to maintainability. Therefore the life assigned to the structure of the units and systems exceeds 4-6 times the one of the similar elements of Mi-8/Mi-17 helicopters.

The helicopter has the ability to transport nearly 32 troops for transportation. It can lift a total of 5000 kilograms internally. While externally it can lift up to 7000 kilograms.

Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant is a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters. Since its founding, the Plant has created 12 basic models of helicopter, including the Mi-8/17, Mi-35M, Mi-26, Mi-28, Mi-38 and numerous modifications. As a result, Mi-helicopters are in operation in 110 countries worldwide.

Il-2 Sound – Real Recordings

Su-35 Sound

MAKS Sounds 2019

Il-2 Sound is the sound of Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.

To Il-2 pilots, the aircraft was simply the diminutive “Ilyusha”. To the soldiers on the ground, it was the “Hunchback”, the “Flying Tank” or the “Flying Infantryman”. Its postwar NATO reporting name was “Bark”. The Il-2 aircraft played a crucial role on the Eastern Front. When a factory fell behind on its deliveries, Joseph Stalin told the factory manager that they were “as essential to the Red Army as air and bread.”

The Il-2 is a single-engine, propeller-driven, low-wing monoplane of mixed construction with a crew of two (one in early versions), specially designed for assault operations. It has an armor in an airframe load-bearing scheme. Thanks to the heavy armor protection, the Il-2 could take a great deal of punishment and proved difficult for both ground and aircraft fire to shoot down. That’s why German ground troops gave it the nickname “The Flying Tank”. The first use in action of the Il-2 was with the 4th ShAP (Ground Attack Regiment) over the Berezina River days after German invasion began.

Yak-152 Sound – Real Recordings

Su-35 Sound

MAKS Sounds 2019

Yak-152 Sound is the sound of Russian Yak-152 Aircraft from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.

The Yakovlev Yak-152 is a Russian primary trainer aircraft. The prototype Yak-152 first flew on 29 September 2016. It has a RED A03 diesel engine, rated at 500 shp (370 kW). The Russian Air Force ordered the aircraft to replace its current Yakovlev Yak-52 trainers.

The first flight of the Yak-52M made in April 2004, and a year later successfully passed state tests. Serial production of the new aircraft was going to start at the 308th aircraft repair plant (Ivanovo), but these plans never came to fruition.

The issue of the start of serial production of the Russian aircraft modification moved from a dead center only in 2014, when a notice of the start of a competition to create a training complex based on the Yak-152 TCF appeared on the website about conducting public procurement. Soon between the OKB Yakovlev and the Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract, the amount of which amounted to 300 million rubles.

MiG-15 Sound – Real Recordings

Su-35 Sound

MAKS Sounds 2019

MiG-15 Sound is the sound of Russian MiG-15 Aircraft from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.

The MiG-15 Fagot was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. The MiG-15 and F-86 Sabre were the best fighter aircraft of the Korean War.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 had a single VK-1 Turbojet engine which was a direct imitation of the Rolls Royce Nene engine. Great Britain under an agreement of not using the engines in the combat situations brokered a few of the Rolls Royce Nene engines to the Soviet Union back in 1948.

The USSR built 1344 MiG-15, 8352 MiG-15bis and 3434 two-seaters. In the early 1950s, the Soviet Union delivered hundreds of MiG-15s to China. The Soviets also sent almost a thousand MiG-15 engineers and specialists to China, where they assisted China’s Shenyang Aircraft Factory in building the MiG-15UTI trainer (designated JJ-2). China never produced a single-seat fighter version, only the two-seat JJ-2. The number of JJ-2s built remains unknown and the estimates vary between 120 and 500 aircraft.
