AH64 Apache Engine Sound – SFX
The AH-64 Apache is a twin-engine, four-blade attack helicopter developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). It has been in service since the 1980s and is one of the most advanced and heavily armed attack helicopters in the world.
The crew sits in tandem, with the pilot sitting behind and above the co-pilot/gunner. Both crew members are capable of flying the aircraft and performing methods of weapon engagements independently. The AH-64 is powered by two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines with high-mounted exhausts on either side of the fuselage.
Design and Structure:
- The Apache has a robust airframe designed to survive heavy damage. It is armored to protect the crew and critical components from ground fire.
- AIt features a four-blade main rotor and a four-blade tail rotor, both designed for high performance and reliability.
