AK74 Sound – Modern Weapons SFX Library
The AK74 Sound is the sound of the AK-74, an assault rifle designed by small arms designer Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1974. While primarily associated with the Soviet Union, it has been used by many countries since the 1970s. It is chambered for the 5.45×39mm cartridge, which replaced the 7.62×39mm cartridge of Kalashnikov’s earlier automatic weapons for the Soviet armed forces. The rifle first saw service with Soviet forces in the Afghanistan conflict from 1979. The head of the Afghan bureau of the Inter-Services Intelligence, the intelligence agency of Pakistan, claimed that America’s Central Intelligence Agency paid $5,000 for the first AK-74 captured by the Afghan mujahideen during the Afghan-Soviet War. As of 2021, most countries of the former Soviet Union use the rifle.
The AK74 Sound Construction Kit demonstration uses 3 combined “OneShot” + ”Loop” + ”Stop” sounds, then 4 random “OneShot” + ”Stop” sounds for close distance. And 3 combined “Dist_OneShot” + ”Dist_Loop” + ”Tail” sounds, then 4 random “Dist_OneShot” + “Tail” sounds for close and far distance. All the sounds in this preview as in the library, without processing. Also, these files were used for our Unity and Unreal Engine projects.
