The AH-64 Apache is a twin-engine, four-blade attack helicopter developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). It has been in service since the 1980s and is one of the most advanced and heavily armed attack helicopters in the world.
The crew sits in tandem, with the pilot sitting behind and above the co-pilot/gunner. Both crew members are capable of flying the aircraft and performing methods of weapon engagements independently.
