F/A-18 Hornet Falcon SFX – Game-Ready Sound Effects for Game Developers
YOUTUBE PREVIEW | SOUNDCLOUD PREVIEW | UNITY PROJECT | UE4 PROJECT
The best F/A-18 sound effects library for game developers with detailed instructions on how to use it. For the library we used real field recordings of F/A-18 Hornet. The F/A-18 Hornet SFX sound library includes 19 seamless loops and 8 special sound effects. Using them together, your US Navy’s F/A-18 Hornet comes to life!
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine, supersonic, all-weather, carrier-capable, multirole combat jet, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations, and since 1986, by the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.
The F/A-18 has a top speed of Mach 1.8. And it can carry a wide variety of bombs and missiles, including air-to-air and air-to-ground, supplemented by the 20-mm M61 Vulcan cannon. It is powered by two General Electric F404 turbofan engines, which give the aircraft a high thrust-to-weight ratio.
All of our jets are based on the same implementation principle with the same functions. Therefore, when you configure F/A-18 for your project, you can easily use other jets from soundfx.studio.
You can also find a ready-made solution for UNITY platform – F/A-18 Hornet Jet Fighter Sound System and for UNREAL ENGINE 4 – F/A-18 Hornet Fighter Jet: Sound System + Flight Model. It contains scripts for reproducing the sounds of a FA-18 twin-engine jet fighter aircraft depending on engine RPM, jet speed, angles of view, and the distance from the aircraft to the camera. This project also implements a fully controllable advanced flight model of the F/A-18 Hornet. Thus, you can control the aircraft using the keyboard or game controller.
