Su-30 Sound is the sound of a flying pair of Russian Su-30 fighters from the MAKS Sounds 2019 sound library. The MAKS Sounds 2019 library includes 11 audio files. Total duration: 41 minutes.
The Sukhoi Su-30 (Flanker-C) is a twin-engine, two-seat super-maneuverable fighter aircraft. It is a multirole fighter for all-weather, air-to-air and air-to-surface deep interdiction missions.
The aircraft’s powerplant incorporates two Saturn AL-31F afterburning low-bypass turbofan engines, fed through intake ramps. Two AL-31Fs, each rated at 123 kN of full afterburning thrust ensures Mach 2 in level flight, 1,350 km/h speed at low altitude, and a 230 m/s climbing rate.
With a normal fuel reserve of 5,270 kg, the Su-30MK is capable of performing a 4.5-hour combat mission with a range of 3,000 km. An aerial refueling system increases the range to 5,200 km or flight duration up to 10 hours at cruise altitudes.
It is approximately 73 feet in length and 21 feet in height with a wingspan of 48 feet. And it has 12 hard points for missiles and bombs which can be further increase to 14 by using multiple ejector racks.
Currently, India has seven IAF bases with 194 Su-30MKIs with 72 more on order. Unfortunately, IAF has lost six Su-30 MKIs in various crashes.
