The BMP-3 is a Russian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) that first entered service in the late 1980s. It is known for its heavy armament, which includes a 30mm 2A72 autocannon, a 100mm 2A70 low-velocity gun capable of firing both shells and guided missiles, and a 7.62mm PKT machine gun. The BMP-3 is highly mobile, with a powerful engine allowing speeds of up to 70 km/h on roads and excellent off-road capabilities. It is also amphibious, capable of crossing water obstacles without preparation. The vehicle can carry a crew of three and up to seven infantry soldiers in the rear compartment.
